Menus & Diets
Dietary requirements
We can accommodate most allergies and dietary requirements/preferences, so please just ask if there is something on the menu that you do not like e.g. mushrooms.
Please note that the kitchen handles peanuts and other nuts, so although we can exclude nuts from your menu, we cannot guarantee there is no airborne cross contamination.
Timings
For the 5 serving menu, we kindly ask that if you are dining early in the evening, that the table is returned after 2 hours.
For the 8 serving menu, we recommend 3 hours and for the 12 serving menu 3 1/2 hours.
Please note that we can serve all our menu faster or slower than the above timings depending on your preference. If you would like a faster or slower pace, please just ask and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
Parking
car parks
The nearest car park is on Kelsick Road, opposite the library.
A full list of local car parks can be found here:
on street
You can park in marked bays on the street but you must display a timer before 6pm which can be obtained from nearby shops.
Accessibility
Accessibility
We welcome all guests and are committed to being as inclusive as possible within the physical limitations of our building.
Please note:
There is one step into the dining room
There is one step leading to the bathroom
Due to the narrow pavement outside and the internal configuration of the premises, it is unfortunately not possible to install a wheelchair ramp or provide an accessible bathroom. These limitations are structural and cannot be addressed without major redevelopment.
Our team is always happy to assist guests with mobility needs. If you require help entering the restaurant, please let us know when booking, or call us on arrival and a member of staff will be on hand to help.
If you have any questions or suggestions regarding accessibility, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Where to Stay
There are a huge range of hotels, guest houses and bed & breakfasts available in the area and if you would like any recommendations, please do not hesitate to ask.
We have recently taken on our own property in September 2025.
Located in Windermere, a short 20 minute taxi journey from the restaurant, The Snuggery is a comfy cozy, well equipped apartment (1 bed, 1 bath) with private courtyard with dedicated parking.
A larger property will be available soon. Base Camp Windermere, is a beautiful 3 bedroom semi detached town house with open plan kitchen/living area with a utility and WC leading off. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one being an attic conversion on the top floor.
Within walking distance of Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, and on a main bus route, both are ideally situated and has everything you need to use as a base to explore the area.
If you are interesting in booking the Snuggery (or would like to know when Base Camp becomes available), please let us know on your reservation form or e-mail request and we can put a hold on it until your dinner reservation is confirmed, when we can then send you a link to book. Bookings at The Snuggery are refundable up until 30 days before your stay.

Dress Code
We have a flexible approach to dress code in the restaurant with most guests opting for smart casual. We do ask that you do not wear walking gear (no waterproof trousers please); caps or bring backpacks or other luggage into the dining room (excluding mobility devices). We do not have space to store wet or large items (except mobility devices). Thank you.
